Language Training

Aware of the importance of knowledge in English within professional fields, the European University of the Atlantic includes English training in the curricula of all its degrees so that students may finish their studies with a communicative competence in English, enabling them to perform their work with greater ease in their chosen profession. To this end, English subjects are offered from second year onwards, with some of the degree subjects being taught in this language as of the third year. This allows students to achieve a C1 from the CEFRL. In the Applied Languages and Translation and Interpretation degrees, training in English is more intense as of the first year, and students complete the degree with a C2 from the CEFRL.

In its educational commitment to improving the language skills of its students, the University also offers them the possibility of studying French and/or German:

UNEATLANTICO Subject CEFR Reference
German/French I A1
German/French II A2
German/French III B1
German/French IV B2
German/French V C1

The subjects are organized into four terms and comprise four hours of class per week. The student’s success is recorded in their academic record and in the European Diploma Supplement. In this way, UNEATLANTICO encourages the student to complete the degree with an advanced competence in another foreign language, in addition to English. This will undoubtedly provide a very positive impact on their professional future. In an increasingly globalized and intercommunicated world, language knowledge has become a very relevant element in people’s personal and professional training.

Likewise, with the aim of promoting Spanish language and culture, the university also offers courses in Spanish as a foreign language from level A1 to C2 of the CEFRL, aimed at international students.

Customised Training

Professors take care of each student’s follow-up and guidance, establishing complementary training itineraries that guarantee the successful achievement of the subject objectives.

Authentic Job Environments

The University is designed so that students can begin to practice their future profession from the first year, encouraging entrepreneurial initiatives and first-hand knowledge of the business world. Students receive specific training in learning how to manage and design projects. In addition, agreements with companies and institutions facilitate the immersion in the professional environment for students in their final year to be able to apply their learning in the workplace.

Virtual Campus

The University places special emphasis on the use of technology in all of the degree programs taking into account that they enhance learning. E-learning tools (forums, chats, internal messaging, virtual libraries, recommended and required readings…), is how students complement classroom learning, continue debates, and delve further into topics of interest. From the beginning all students receive course materials for each subject and personalized information to access the Virtual Campus.
